Josh Groban...
My first "real" attempt at a digital painting. I say real because I usually get bored after 20 minutes and start screwing up the picture big time and start looking for short cuts. But not this time. It took me about 20 hours. I was totally going cross eyed during the late hours that I was keeping just to finish this, lol.
I can't draw really, so just to just the hang of his facial features, I had to trace them tons of times before I felt confident enough to paint them. It was kinda funny to watch.
I painted over part of the ear because I really can't draw ears. I rushed through the hair. The shadown on the cheek and chin is funky, his stubble is too dark, blah blah blah... The more I look at it, the more I find problems. But I'm proud just the same.
The reference picture is in the upper right hand corner (duh) and then I added just some close ups of stuff to fill the empty space.
Painted in Photoshop 7 and Painter.
Don't Steal My Work! I've been seeing it happen a lot lately. Seriously people, an artist knows her own work when she sees it.
