The good and the bad of imperfections...
I'll admit I still struggle with trying to accept the fact that it's ok to not be perfect. I think this feeling of struggling to be perfect and finding it hard to accept when you aren't is something many can relate to. And I'd like others out there to know that they aren't the only ones fighting this feeling. Rarely does my lighting and camera agree with me well enough to get such a sharp and detailed self portrait. I decided since it captured the scars (from when I got chicken pox at 4), the red nose (from crying), the freckles, the drying tear upon my cheek, I thought I'd leave them all in the shot.
