We all know what it's like to want to shut our eyes and ignore the problems before us. Sometimes we can go on pretending it's ok for years. There will be a nagging in the back of your mind, where you know something is wrong, but you can still ignore it. You can choose not to see it. However, sometimes our blind fold gets ripped off and you're forced to see things that you wished were simply nightmares. And sometimes it's so bad that you long to claw up your eyes and shut them tight and go back to a time when you could pretend life was ok. That's what this piece is about. It's my longing to undo the things I've seen and to forget things I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt.
