She's the model and she came up with the background, pose, and position of the mermaid. I think she did all the hard work actually This is my first try actually at making a mermaid tail so be kind, I know it's not perfect. I'm allowing comments so people could compliment Jenni's hard work on this Edit: The girl is lit up and more orangish than blue to match the orange tones of the sunlight in the clouds on the rocks. I wanted it to look like the sun is shining on her as well. Like there is a light source just outside of our view and it's shining down on her. I do believe in commas. I do, I do.
Life is a muffin, ninjas are the cream filling, and pocky is pocky, but magnetic forces make the world go round.
She BLENDS in. Maybe you and everyone else haven't studied light and the effects of light on people, but she matchs the effects of the light on the rocks. It looks fine.
And again "CRITIQUE DISCOURAGED" it's against policy to ignore that.

I didn't notice your "critique discouraged." I'll make sure to look for that in the future. I wasn't meaning any harm in my comments; I'm sorry if you took offense in them. It is still quite a beautiful piece.

This reminds me of my time spent in Monterey, CA. There's something about the ocean at dusk and dawn on a clear day in that town that just tugs at the heartstrings. I don't know that I miss the place so much as I miss that time of my life...but just seeing something that reminds me of Monterey always tugs at unspent tears within me.
Thank you both for your work; it's beautiful.
