I hear the voices yelling through the wall. Pressing my face against the surface, I pretend the voices are saying something else. Something kind and loving. I can close my eyes and almost pretend that I am far away from the pain. I have wings and they will fly me somewhere else.
The yelling stops. And I am home again.

The original photo for this was taken while I was indeed listening to an arguement outside the room. I was in the middle of a photoshoot when the yelling started and I tried to ignore it, but eventually I sat down and cried.
